"Expozitia"... "sculptorului Alexandru Pamfil"..."Manifestand preferinta tot mai mult pentru lucrarile de mici dimensiuni, Alexandru Pamfil expune doua tipuri de sculpturi, unele ce dau impresia unor proiecte de monumente ("Nazuinta", "Memento", "Victorie"), altele nascute parca din framantarea sufletului omului contemporan, avand ca trasatura dominanta o vadita nota de mister data atat de titulatura lor, cat si de modul de rezolvare plastica. Al. Pamfil renunta la orice forma de descriptivism, ronde-bosse-urile si reliefurile sale sunt reduse la esential, sunt rezultatul unor sinteze plastice de mare efect asupra iubitorului de arta. In "Paravan", de pilda, partea superioara a lucrarii este conceputa ca un relief, in timp ce partea de jos este lucrata tridimensional. Tot o imbinare intre ronde-bosse si relief este si"Autoportret", accentul artistului cazand aici pe partea anterioara, pe reliefarea expresivitatii chipului. Alte sculpturi ca "Umbre", "Dialog", "Metamorfoza", "Duet", "Meditatie", "Conflict" sunt impletiri ale formelor si volumelor rotunde cu cele alungite, predomina insa acestea din urma, ceea ce face ca personajele sa para descarnate. Pamfil este preocupat de a patrunde in intimitatea fiintei umane, dezvaluind tensiuni, nelinisti ale framantarii existentiale." ... "The show"... "of Sculptor Alexandru Pamfil"... "Showing his ever greater preference for small compositions, Alexandru Pamfil shows two kinds of sculptures: some that suggest monument projects ("Endeavour", "Memento", "Victory"), others that seem to be born out of the unrest of the contemporary man's soul, marked by an obvious mystery caused by both their names and by the plastic solutions. Alexandru Pamfil gives up all kinds of descriptivism, therefore his ronde-bosses and reliefs are reduced to their essence, being the result of plastic syntheses which greatly impress the art lover. In "Screen", for instance, the upper part of the work is conceived as a relief, while the lower part is tri-dimensional. "Self-Portrait", is also a combination of ronde-bosse and relief, the artist focusing on the anterior side, on pointing out the face's expressivity. Other sculptures such as "Shadows", "Dialogue", "Metamorphosis", "Duet", "Meditation", "Conflict" are combinations of round and prolonged shapes and volumes, with the latter prevailing, which makes characteres look fleshless.
